Introduction -

Welcome to PDA Bible Bookmarks & Notes specifically for the Olive Tree PDA Bible Software. This awesome software puts the Bible at your fingertips with a number of awesome tools to search, bookmark, add notes and more. The Catholic PDA Bible Bookmarks and Notes takes months of research and work out of book marking many of the important Biblical verses that support the Catholic faith. Even more important is the ability to read notes taken from many fine Catholic speakers and resources collected over the years to help explain the Church teaching on a verse.

We do not take credit for any of the content. This is basic Catholic teaching put in a simple to use format and great for study, discussion and more. You can edit the content, add your own content and notes as you wish. We have taken great care to make sure the content comes from reputable sources listed below in the Resources list. All credit for helping Catholics get fired up about the fullness of truth in their faith should be given to these resources.

We strongly recommend you use this tool as an enhancement to the many resources that helped inspire it. For the price of this tool - we feel it is a great addition to your faith life.

What do I need to use these Bookmarks and Notes?

You "MUST" have the Olive Tree PDA Bible Software to use the notes in a PDA. If you do not have a PDA and would still like the notes - we include them with the software in a Word Document and also a login to the condensed online version for your cell phone.

We can confirm that the PDA Notes & Bookmarks work on PALM & Windows PDA's. We do not confirm any particular PDA or support the Olive Tree Bible Software. I would also suggest you have at least 2 megs of free space for all of this in your internal memory or get a SIM card and install the applications on it if your PDA supports an external SIM. PDA's that have been tested and work great are the Treo 600, 650(Palm) & 700(Windows).

1. First  you need the Bible Reader & Text. Some Bibles texts are public domain and free while others have publishing rights that you must purchase

Free Catholic Douay-Rheims Version -
Free Modern King James Version

I suggest  -
the NAB Catholic Study Bible for an additional $32.00 -
or the
Catholic NRSV for an additional $16.00

2. Older Handheld devices or MAC computers may require you to load the reader separately. You can do that for free at the following links  -

For Palm
For Windows Pocket PC

3. After these are installed - simply install the PDB files included in your included ZIP file and follow the setup instructions below.

What did I buy?

What you purchased with Catholic PDA Bookmarks & Notes is a service. Yes you can create these notes and bookmarks all on your own. Yes you can edit them.

So why pay for them you may ask?

1. I read many resources, listened to many speakers and took many notes over a three year period that I studied the faith. I don't claim to be a professional Apologist or theologian, but I did put a lot of work in to both gathering the notes and hours putting them in to this format. I estimate it could take you quite a few days to gather all of this information in a condensed format and put them in to your PDA.

2. When you actually purchase them, you get my commitment to send you updates as well as your ability to send me suggestions and updates of your own. If you have a verse you would like added or a change or addition to the notes - I welcome all input. As you will see below, there are new topics coming down the road and as a registered user - you get all of the updates for free.

3. The notes are yours once you have them. The content is not copyright and if I quote a particular source - I mention the source in the note or on the Notes Doc. I feel the Christian thing to do is to pay for the service. The amount is less than the coffee you would drink putting these notes together yourself.
